The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) was founded in the United States in 1944, with the goal of protecting human health. Operating globally, the NSF certification program protects water, the environment, and consumer and food products. It is run by a professional group specializing in public health and safety, which operates in more than 180 countries.
An NSF Certificate may be granted for a product that is inspected independently in accordance with established standards or guidelines. A third party objectively verifies the labeling and claims of the products. An NSF Certificate demonstrates an organization’s commitment to quality and safety.
